Tentative Schedule of Events

  • 7:00am: Lifter Check in, Equipment Check, and Rack Heights

  • 7:30am-9:00am: Weigh Ins (by order of lot number)

  • 9:00-9:15am: Lifter Rules Briefing

  • 9:30am: Lifting Begins

  • Alabama state meeting will immediately follow lifting (open to all members)

  • Awards will immediately follow USA Powerlifting Alabama state meeting

  • The 2020 USA Powerlifting State Championships will be held on May 16th, 2020 at CrossFit Irondale in Birmingham, Alabama. 

  • This will be a CLOSED meet. Only Alabama lifters will be eligible to compete. Lifters from other states simply needing a total will be eligible to lift as guest lifters (no awards). 

  • All attending coaches and athletes will need to be members of USA Powerlifting prior to meet check in. No memberships will be sold at the event. Memberships can be purchased here.

  • A complete set of USA Powerlifting rules for competition can be found here. 

  • Registration will open January 1st, 2020. A late fee of $20 will be assessed for all registrations completed after March 15th, 2020. Final registration deadline is May 1st at 11:59 pm.

  • Please join the Facebook event for updates. 

  • Recon Photography will be photographing the event. Photo package details will be provided soon.

The 2020 USA Powerlifting Alabama State Championship scheduled to be held on May 16th, 2020 at Crossfit Irondale/Diamond K Lifting in Birmingham, AL has been postponed.The date on this page will updated when the new date is determined.
