Recipe: Protein Brownies


You may recognize this recipe from Instagrammer and fellow fitness guru Katie Anne Rutherford (@katieanne100). I've made a few small tweaks from Katie's original recipe.

Recipe makes 8 huge brownies. Macros per brownie: 4 g Fat 19 g Carbs 15 g Protein 6 g Fiber 175 Total Kcal



  • 15 oz can black beans

  • 100g Fat Free Cream Cheese

  • 2 eggs + 3 egg whites

  • 60 mL Sugar Free Maple Syrup (Can substitute liquid stevia for syrup)

  • 100 g Fat Free Greek Yogurt

  • 15 g honey


  • 14G (1 SQUARE) unsweetened baking chocolate

  • 1 scoop whey protein

  • 65g flour of your choice

  • 30g dark chocolate cocoa powder

  • 25g chocolate chips

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp baking powder

To make: Preheat oven to 300 F.

Combine "wet" ingredients in food processor. Add dry ingredients (*except chocolate chips) and process until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips, and pour into greased 13x9" cake pan. Bake 30-40 minutes.
